Dr. Alexander Rios is an esteemed physician originally from Jersey City, NJ. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Valley Urgent Care and Wellness in Dickson City, PA, where he will be serving as the Medical Director of the Wellness division.
Dr. Rios: An Academic and Professional Journey in Medicine
Dr. Rios began his academic journey at Montclair State University, studying Molecular Biology and Chemistry. He then earned a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and completed his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His medical training continued with an Internship at University Hospital in Newark and a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico.
Over the past six years, Dr. Rios has been dedicated to serving the local community in Pennsylvania, working at Regional Hospital and Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. His extensive experience in the emergency setting spans various populations and locations, including Puerto Rico, Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Dr. Rios is known for his compassionate approach, treating each patient with the same care and concern as if they were his own family member. His professionalism, high level of training, and exceptional communication skills have allowed him to excel in diverse medical environments.

Dr. Rios’s interest in aesthetics emerged from his work in trauma settings, where he frequently performed facial procedures. His dedication to achieving the best outcomes for his patients led him to pursue extensive training in aesthetic medicine across the country. This passion culminated in the founding of True Bliss Medical Aesthetic and Wellness Center, where he focuses on providing personalized care and developing optimal anti-aging and aesthetic treatment plans. Dr. Rios emphasizes not only corrective procedures but also educating his patients on preventive measures to reverse the aging process.
